Our Core Services

In 2005 Blue and Gray was founded. In the same year, there was also a hit business book called “Blue Ocean Strategy” written by WC Kim that came out. The book urged businesses to forgo current intense competition (Red ocean) towards new & unchartered grounds (Blue ocean). Back then, there were numerous so called “Blue/Red Ocean” training, seminars, workshops, consultants etc. Today especially in Asia, you can hardly find any. The main reasons are 3 folds. One, Asia was in hyper growth during the last few years, so creating Blue Ocean was hardly necessary. Second, creating a new playing field was simply too hard & too long. Many companies just do not have the patience or the resources. Lastly, you really need a consultant/company who really understand your business to guide you to a completely new field. We do not believe Blue/Red oceans in Asia are so clear-cut. It was more towards a “Gray”. Hence Blue and Gray was born.

Kenneth Leow, Founder, Blue and Gray Group

Experienced and Driven Talent Advisor

Kenneth’s special interest is in the area of Talent Acquisition, Assessment, Talent & Market Development and Motivation of Company’s Key Talents. He has also done keynote & public speaking engagements on specialized topics such as Culture Transformation, Tying HR to Business Strategy & Motivating and Staff Retention.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (2nd Upper Honors) and he’s ATCA certified. He is also certified in DISC & SHL profiling tools and has conducted Talent Assessment Partner Programs for various MNCs across the region. He is also the first Asia Master Certified Facilitator for The Culture Works, founded by New York Times bestselling authors Adrian Gostick & Chester Elton. He’s also the Past President of the Rotary Club & the author of the book as well as the popular blog “The Pursuit of Career Actualization”.

Kenneth Leow

Chief Culture Strategist

Kenneth Leow has over 23 years of HR, Management and Entrepreneurial experience. Kenneth’s career spans over 2 decades. The first half of his career is in a corporate world focused on ensuring the successful development and implementation of Direct and Partner Sales plans and strategies for success. He has worked for various fortune 500 companies such as Kodak, Computer Associates, Mincom and NCR.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Kenneth was the Vice President of PeopleSoft Inc., a US based global software giant, covering the Asian markets. The experience he gained in selling across Asia gives him the insight and understanding of what makes large internationally focused organizations successful in leveraging sales and partners in this region.

After leaving the corporate world, Kenneth is the co-owner of a global network Human Capital Consulting firm that focused on Assessment, Career Transition and Business Strategy Development. For the last 10 years, he has helped many Global MNCs in China to realize their business goals by creating High Performance Cultures and Teams. He is currently the Founder & CEO of Blue & Gray.


Elite Wee

Director of Operations (Singapore)

Elite Wee is a seasoned edupreneur in a career spanning 10 years, having spun off one educational company - Singapore Brain Development Centre - and owns the Languagelab Group with 3 education subsidiaries serving schools and private education market with entrepreneurship, design, robotics and language programs. He has been regularly interviewed by the local media, including ChannelNewsAsia and Berita Harian, and is the title owner for National Design and Marketing Competition in Singapore, in partnership with Spring Singapore.


Maria Zhang Yumei

General Manager (China)

Yumei is from Beijing. She holds a Bachelor Degree in International Trade from Beihang University (BUAA). She is General Manager of Blue & Gray Management Consultant (Beijing) Co., Ltd. since July, 2008. Besides being the General Manager, she has involved in many projects serving major customers, such as Mercedes-Benz and its dealer groups. These are incredibly complex that involved heavy logistics, personal scheduling and tight budgets. Yumei managed her team to a clock-work that ensures that these projects get delivered on time, on budget with top customer satisfaction.
She is also well-networked within the Chinese market, especially in the Human Capital side. She was formerly responsible for the Operations & HR departments for MNC, such as SchlumbergerSema/Atos Origin, Synova and Syntronic in China.
